The Canadian government has pledged to help bring 25,000 Syrian refugees into Canada by the end of February 2016. Kathy Georgiades, whose program of work focuses on vulnerable populations – particularly immigrant and refugee children/adolescents – was recently interviewed by the CBC. In an audio interview, she provides some advice for parents and teachers as to the role that Canadian school children can play in helping their new classmates.
