Faculty Profile

Séamus O'Byrne is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences, who is being supervised by Dr. Kathy Georgiades.

Séamus trained as a clinical psychologist in the UK. Specifically, he completed his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Essex in partnership with the Tavistock Clinic in London. More recently, he completed a clinically-focused postdoc at the Anxiety Treatment Research Clinic in Hamilton. His work with Kathy and her team involves attempting to better understand how to facilitate the practice of measurement based care within the school mental health setting.
